Three Fitchburg businesses at annual home products show
More than 200 vendors, including a handful from Fitchburg, will represent every aspect of home design and remodeling will be sharing their expertise at the 33rdannual Home Products Show March 1-3 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
If you have a project in mind, or are just looking for ideas, the event is an opportunity to get all those questions answered in a few hours—often by the owner of the business—and maybe even line up a contractor.
Attending the show gives people the opportunity to talk directly to vendors and see their products and services, including Fitchburg businesses Ganshert Nursery and Landscapes, Midwest Decorative Stone, and Stevens Design.
With the still-wobbly economy, people are still reluctant to make the big investment of building a new home; instead they are focusing on ways to improve their existing homes by remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, building additions, and improving outdoor space. Even small interior design changes can make a big difference in the comfort level of the home and make it feel new.
“For example, we offer clients complimentary design services to take a project from conception to completion,” says Renee Degelau with Stevens Design, which provides high-quality furniture product lines from American manufacturers. “Paint specification, furniture and fabric selection, window treatments, accessorizing, and space planning all make a difference in achieving the style and comfort you are looking for in your home.”
Another big draw of the Home Product Show is the free seminars taught throughout the three-day event by local experts. Popular seminars are color trends, solar and geothermal energy, outdoor living space, radiant in-floor heating, and upgrading kitchens and bathrooms.
